5.0/10

I have to say, my stay was far from what I expected. The location is interesting but the property feels neglected and not worth the price I paid. While the penguin viewing had potential, the execution was lacking, and the overall condition of the resort was quite disappointing. The beds were comfortable, which was a small relief in an otherwise unsatisfactory experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was in dire need of maintenance, with visible wear and tear and unsafe furniture. It definitely didn't match the glamour shown in pictures online.
Service
5.0
The service was minimal; I felt like an imposition rather than a guest. Key handover was quick, but the lack of information given was frustrating.
Location
5.0
The resort is somewhat close to a unique experience with penguins but lacks the charm and upkeep to make it appealing.
Dining
5.0
There was no dining option available during my stay, which made things tricky since the chalet was self-catering.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were outdated, with poor maintenance and inadequate amenities. The penguin viewing experience was poorly organized.

I had high expectations for this resort given its claims of being 4.5 stars, but I was thoroughly disappointed. The location is stunning, and our interaction with the staff was pleasant enough, but the cleanliness of the unit was unacceptable. The rooms weren't comfortable, especially the second bedroom, which was poorly designed. Overall, it felt overhyped for the price we paid.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were poorly maintained and unclean, with dust and bugs everywhere. The second bedroom was cramped and uncomfortable, detracting from the overall experience.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly, but the response to our complaints was underwhelming. A bottle of wine didn't make up for the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Location
9.0
The resort is in a beautiful location, close to lovely beaches, which was a highlight of our stay.
Dining
Facilities

The laundry facilities and BBQ were both unclean and unusable, which is a major disappointment for a resort.

My stay at the resort was quite pleasant despite a few drawbacks. The location offered stunning views and easy access to beach activities, which was a major plus. I enjoyed watching the penguins at night, but the facilities felt a bit dated. While the staff generally provided good service, some areas definitely need upgrades to enhance the overall experience.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were tidy but showing signs of age. There was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower drain, which was disappointing.
Service
7.0
The staff did respond quickly to our special requests, which I appreciated. However, the overall service experience was inconsistent.
Location
9.0
The resort is located by a beautiful beach, making it perfect for family activities and relaxation.

Facilities

The facilities included a swimming pool, but it was quite cold during my stay. The area could benefit from some modern updates.

6.4/10

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On one hand, the location is fantastic with easy access to the beach and lovely grounds. The penguin sights were a highlight, but the facilities definitely need some upkeep. The rooms were decent, but not as clean as I'd hoped, and the service was hit or miss. If you're after a basic stay with beach access, this might work, but don't expect luxury.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were decent but could use a thorough cleaning. They had a good layout and included everything we needed, but some upkeep would make a big difference.
Service
7.0
Service was hit or miss as we had some issues with requests not being fully met, but when help was needed for penguin viewing, the staff did respond quickly.
Location
10.0
The location was truly remarkable with direct access to the beach and stunning views. It's a great spot for nature lovers and penguin enthusiasts.
Dining
5.0
I didn't have a chance to dine here beyond a casual barbecue, so I can't comment much on the dining options.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were quite tired and in need of maintenance. The tennis court and swimming pool were not in good shape, which was disappointing.

8.8/10

My stay at the resort was truly fantastic, featuring stunning views and a close encounter with adorable penguins right by the beach. The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a wonderful night's sleep. However, the dining options were somewhat limited, especially for nearby eateries. On the plus side, the resort had excellent facilities for families, including a pool and playground for kids. Overall, it offered great value for the experience, though a bit more dining variety would have been appreciated.

Rooms
9.0
The one-bedroom apartment was large and very comfortable, with a huge bed and a great set-up for self-catering. Having a spacious balcony overlooking the coast was an added bonus.
Service
9.0
I found the service to be attentive and quick. Staff were very helpful when I requested assistance with special bedding arrangements due to a medical condition.
Location
10.0
The resort is beautifully situated right by the sea, allowing easy access to a lovely beach and the penguin viewing area.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were primarily limited to the hotel restaurant, which was decent, but I would have liked a wider variety of nearby choices.
Facilities
9.0
The amenities were excellent, featuring a pool and a playground, perfect for families. The gym and games room added to the overall appeal.
